What Baby Growly is, what it is not, and what each of us is responsible for.
Last updated 8 September 2026. By using Baby Growly you agree to what follows.
It is not a medical device
Baby Growly is a tracking and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing it shows you — including growth percentiles drawn from the World Health Organization Child Growth Standards — is a clinical assessment of your baby. It will not name a condition, and it will not suggest a medicine, a dose or a treatment. Always speak to a qualified health professional about your child’s health, and never delay doing so because of something you read here.
Who may use it
Adults only. You must be 18 or over to create an account. The information you enter is about a child, and you confirm you are that child’s parent or a caregiver with the parent’s permission to record it.
Your account, and using it without one
Guest mode gives you the whole app with no account. Everything then lives on that one phone. If you later create an account, the entries you already made come with you. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: work done under your account is treated as yours.
Sharing with family
When you invite someone, they can add, edit and delete entries for that baby, and they see everything already recorded. Every entry says who made it. Deciding who to invite is your call, and you can withdraw access whenever you like. Invite codes carry an expiry, and you should treat one like a password until it is used.
Reminders are best effort
A reminder fires at the time you set, overnight included — the app does not quietly move a 3 a.m. reminder to the morning. But it is scheduled through your phone’s own notification system, and a phone can delay or withhold a notification: battery saving, Do Not Disturb, a force stop, a restart, or the operating system deciding otherwise. Do not rely on Baby Growly as the only reminder for anything that matters medically.
What the written answers are
The daily insight and the answers in the Ask sheet are written from figures the app has already computed from your own entries, and each one is checked against those figures before you see it. An answer that fails that check is dropped rather than repaired. They are still descriptions of what you logged, not guidance, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Answers are limited to a set number a day.
Percentiles, and what they mean
A percentile is a position on a published reference, not a grade. It compares one reading against the WHO Child Growth Standards, using corrected age if your baby was born early. Anywhere on the chart can be healthy, and one reading in isolation says very little.
Your data stays yours
You keep everything you enter. You give us only what is needed to run the service for you — storing it, syncing it to the caregivers you invited, and computing the figures behind an insight. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train models. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
What it costs
Free to start. Pricing is not decided yet. There are no ads and no feature is behind a payment today. If that ever changes you will be told before it affects you, and nothing you have already recorded will be locked away from you.
Backups are your side of the bargain
The app is device-first by design. In guest mode, and for reminders in every mode, there is no server copy — so a lost, wiped or broken phone means that data is gone. Creating an account and turning on sharing is what gives you a second copy. We aim to keep the service available and intact, and we cannot promise either without interruption.
Fair use
Use the app for tracking your own family. Do not attempt to break into other households’ data, work around the limits on generated answers, or take the WHO tables or the app apart to redistribute them.
Ending it
Delete entries or a baby whenever you want. Signing out wipes the local database from that phone. Ask us and we will delete your account and its server-side data. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or another household.
Limits on our liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a decision made on the basis of something the app displayed, for a notification your phone did not deliver, or for data lost from a device that had no account behind it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This section is the one most in need of the legal review noted above.
Changes
These terms change when the app does, and the date at the top moves with them. Material changes will be shown to you in the app.
Governing law
Not yet settled. This will name the country whose law applies and where disputes are heard, and is deliberately left unfilled rather than guessed at.
